INTERNATIONAL AWARD
  1990 HERMES VITAMIN RESEARCH PRIZE, sponsored by HERMES GMBH Pharmaceuticals, Munich, Germany. For "Investigation of the Prevention and Regression of Primate Atherosclerosis by d-Alpha-Tocopherol."
  This prize is awarded every two years for "the most important work in the field of Vitamins and Disease." The award was received in Munich on October 26, 1990 and consisted of a plaque and 10,000 DM. The paper was selected by a panel of world recognized scientists in the field. Other submissions included papers from the USSR, Canada, France, Great Britain, USA, New Zealand, Australia, and Germany.
